Tubes N Things Delivers The Goods!
I recently needed to organise some repairs to an original 1963 Blonde Tolex Fender Guitar Case. It was very dirty on the outside, the handle was damaged, the interior was dirty and the black leather ends with white plastic piping were either missing or hanging off. The aim was to complete a "sympathetic" restoration so the case was not like new, but in keeping with its age and ultimately more useable. As part of this process, I needed to source some of the white plastic piping for the inside edges/borders of the leather case ends. The piping is an important part of the case looking "period correct," so it is crucial that it is stitched in place as per the original. After some exhaustive research, I was able to source from "Tubes N Things" an appropriate length of this white solid core piping with lip welt - MADE IN USA in the right size (1/8" - 3.6mm) at a very reasonable price ($3.50 per foot). This has been forwarded to an expert repairer and I eagerly await the restored case's return. Progressing this project would not have been possible without this product being available, so I really appreciate Tubes N Things' assistance.
